Two Women Administrators in Higher Education Have Stepped Down

Peggy Quinn, president of Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Illinois, has resigned her positioned with seven months remaining on her three-year contract. Before coming to the college in 2015, Dr. Quinn was vice president of Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas.

Dr. Quinn holds bachelor’s and doctoral degrees from Indiana State University. She earned a master’s degree at Washington State University.

Christine Sheets, assistant vice president in the Division of Student Affairs at Ohio University in Athens, has retired. She served on the staff at the university for 32 years, beginning in 1985 in an entry-level clerical position for the Ohio University Foundation. Over the years, Sheets has served as associate director of the Division of Campus Recreation, assistant athletic director, director of conference services for the Division of Finance and Administration, and executive director of residential housing.

Sheets holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from Ohio University.
