Mary Ann Mavrinac Is the New President of the Association of Research Libraries

Mary Ann Mavrinac, vice provost and the Andrew H. and Janet Dayton Neilly Dean of University of Rochester Libraries, is the new president of the Association of Research Libraries. The organization represents 125 libraries at large research universities in the United States and Canada.

Before coming to the University of Rochester in 2012, Dr. Mavrinac was chief librarian at the Mississauga campus of the University of Toronto for 11 years.

Dr. Mavrinac is a graduate of the University of Toronto. She holds a master’s degree in library science from the University of Western Ontario and a doctorate from Fielding Graduate University.
