The New Leader of the Moab Campus of Utah State University

Lianna Etchberger was named executive director of Utah State University-Moab. She will also direct all university operations in the Southwest region of the state.

Dr. Etchberger joined the faculty at the Uintah Basin campus of Utah State University as a an adjunct lecturer in 1995. She was promoted to a full tenured professorship in biology in 2015.

Professor Etchberger is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where she majored in microbiology. She holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from Stony Brook University of the State University of New York System. Dr. Etchberger conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Arizona before joining the faculty at Utah State University.
