Two Women Named to Dean Positions

Jennifer Green was appointed dean of the library and academic information services at Barnard College in New York City, effective March 6. She has been serving as a data librarian at the University of Michigan Libraries where she has held responsibilities for science, engineering, the Clark Library for Maps, Government Information and Data, and director of Research Data Services. Earlier in her career, Green was public services librarian at Grinnell College in Iowa.
Green is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, where she majored in art history. She earned a master of library and information sciences degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Margaret L. Williams was named dean of the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. She has been serving as dean of the College of Business and Public administration at the University of North Dakota. Earlier, she taught in the School of Business Administration at Wayne State University in Detroit.
Dr. Williams holds a master’s degree in psychology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and an MBA and a Ph.D. from Indiana University.
