The Inaugural Provost at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky

web1_Lori-WerthLori Werth was named the inaugural provost at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky. The university, in the eastern part of the state, enrolls about 1,900 undergraduate students and more than 500 graduate students. Women make up 54 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Dr. Werth was an associate professor of education at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. Earlier, she was vice president for enrollment management and marketing at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. Werth is a graduate of the College of Idaho. She holds a master’s degree in college student services from Oregon State University and a Ph.D. in higher education administration from the University of Idaho.
