In Memoriam: Catherine Altepeter Rodgers, 1928-2016

Catherine Rodgers, a former member of the fashion design faculty at Washington University in St. Louis, died on April 6 at her home in Ladue, Missouri. She was 87 years old.
Rodgers was born and raised in St. Louis and graduated from Washington University in 1950. After working for several years in the fashion industry, she joined the faculty in 1957 as an instructor in design and taught at the school for 47 years until her retirement in 2004. She was the longest-serving faculty member in the history of the design department at the university.
