Angelique EagleWoman to Lead a Canadian Law School

Angelique EagleWoman was appointed dean of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She will take on her new role in May.
Professor EagleWoman is a member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Dakota Oyate of the Lake Traverse Reservation in South Dakota. Since 2008, she has served as a professor of law at the University of Idaho. Earlier, she taught at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
A graduate of Stanford University in California, Professor EagleWoman earned a juris doctorate at the University of North Dakota School of Law. She also holds a master’s degree in American Indian and Indigenous Law from the University of Tulsa College of Law in Oklahoma.
