Barnard College, the highly rated liberal arts educational institution for women in New York City, is considering changing its curriculum requirements. Under the proposed plan, Barnard would reduce the foreign language requirement to two semesters and the laboratory science requirement to one semester.
At the same time, students would be required to take a one semester course in a technology-related field. In addition, students would have to take at least one course that is focused on a diversity issue.
