Cynthia Young Is One of Three Finalists for Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University

West Virginia University has announced a field of three finalists for the post of dean of the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. All three candidates will be visiting the Morgantown campus by the end of the month for meetings and forums with students, faculty, and administrators. One of the three finalists is a woman.
Cynthia Y. Young is a professor of mathematics and associate dean in the College of Sciences at the University of Central Florida. She joined the faculty at the university in 1997.
Dr. Young holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from the University of North Carolina. She earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the University of Washington.
