In Memoriam: Julia Neary, 1964-2015

Julia Neary, an assistant professor of movement and acting in the Theatre School of DePaul University in Chicago, died on January 3. She was 50 years old and suffered from liver and colon cancer.
After serving as an adjunct instructor at the Theatre School for 10 years, Neary joined the full-time faculty in 2010. In addition to teaching, Neary worked as a professional actor, writer, choreographer, producer, designer, and director in the Chicago theater community for 20 years. She also worked on films and television.
Neary earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from DePaul University and went on to pursue advanced studies in integrated movement at the University of Utah.
