Eight Women in New Administrative Roles in Higher Education

Breona M. Hayes is the new Title IX coordinator at Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Hayes joined the staff at the university in 2013 and was serving as the acting executive director of the Freshman Success Initiatives.
Hayes is a graduate of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, where she majored in health science. She holds master’s degrees in school guidance counseling and mental health counseling from Webster University in Missouri.
Kay Wolf is the new vice provost for academic policy and faculty resources at Ohio State University. She is a professor and director of the Health Sciences and Medical Dietetics Division in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
Professor Wolf joined the faculty at Ohio State in 1989. She recently was named treasurer of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Board of Directors.
Sondra Schreiber was appointed assistant director for students services at the Language and Culture Institute at Virginia Tech. She was the assistant director for international student and scholar services at the University of Illinois.
Schreiber is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she majored in journalism and mass communication. She holds a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Nebraska.
Leanne M. Shank, general counsel at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, was elected to a three-year term as treasurer of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
Shank is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego and earned her law degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Allyson Zazulia is the new associate dean for continuing medical education for the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She is an associate professor of neurology and radiology at the medical school. She has been on the faculty since 1998.
Dr. Zazulia is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Leandra Celaya was promoted to director of operations for the international education programs and the executive doctoral program in administrative health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has been on the staff at the university since 2008.
Celaya is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and holds a master’s degree from the University of Salford in England.
Tanya L. Jachimiak was appointed the Title IX coordinator at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was the Title IX coordinator at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Jachimiak is a 1998 graduate of the DePaul University School of Law in Chicago.
Eileen G. McLoughlin was named vice chancellor for finance and chief financial officer for the State University of New York System. She has been serving as assistant vice president of finance and budgeting at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
McLoughlin is a graduate of the University at Albany of the State University of New York System. She earned an MBA at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
