One Woman Among the Three Finalists for Provost at Clemson University

Clemson University in South Carolina has identified three candidates for the position of vice president for academic affairs and provost. All three candidates will be visiting the Clemson campus by the middle of July for interviews and public forums. One of the three candidates is a woman.

Sheryl Tucker is a professor of chemistry, dean of the Graduate College, and interim vice president for research and technology transfer at Oklahoma State University. She is the former director of the Graduate Research Fellowship Program at the National Science Foundation. Earlier in her career, Dr. Tucker was a professor of chemistry and associate dean of the Graduate School at the University of Missouri.

Professor Tucker is a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas and did postdoctoral study at Duke University.
