Mount Holyoke College Institutes New Course Requirements

Mount Holyoke College, the high-ranking liberal arts educational institution for women in South Hadley, Massachusetts, will be instituting new graduation requirements, beginning this fall. Students must now take a first-year seminar. They must also take at least one course in the humanities division, one course in mathematics or science, and one language course other than English.
Students will also be required to complete one course with a multicultural perspective. To graduate, Mount Holyoke student will have to have four units in physical education. This is a reduction from the current requirement of six units.
