Notre Dame Economist Named to the President’s Council of Economic Advisers

Abigail Wozniak, an associate professor of economics at the University of Notre Dame, was named to a one-year term as a senior economist on the Council of Economic Advisers, the board that advises President Obama on domestic and international economic policy. She will start her one-year term at the White House on July 1.

Dr. Wozniak specializes in labor economics and is a research associate for the National Bureau of Economic Research. She joined the faculty at the University of Notre Dame in 2005 and was promoted to associate professor with tenure in 2013.

Dr. Wozniak is a graduate of the University of Chicago. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
