New Website Offers Online Space to Share Stories of Sexism on Campus

Earlier this month a new website called SASSY: Sharing Academic Sexism Stories (with) You debuted. The site originates in Belgium and encourages students, faculty, and staff to upload their experiences with sexism on campus to share with readers.
The website’s stated goals are:
- Create a space for those who have been harmed to express themselves.
- Empower others to share their stories and challenge the structures that perpetuate this sexism.
- Better understand the problem in order to begin to act collectively to prevent it.
The stories appear in several languages, but most of the entries that were available when WIAReport visited the site were in English.
