Three Women Appointed to the Faculty at Virginia Tech

Elizabeth Mazzolini was appointed an assistant professor of English at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg. She is the co-editor of Histories of the Dustheap: Waste, Material Cultures, Social Justice (MIT Press, 2012).
Dr. Mazzolini is a graduate of Ohio State University. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in English from Pennsylvania State University.
Nneka Logan was named assistant professor of communication at Virginia Tech. While working in communications for a Fortune 500 company, Dr. Logan received her Ph.D. earlier this year from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Dr. Logan is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds a master’s degree from Georgia State University.
Jennifer M. Bondy was appointed assistant professor in the School of Education at the university. She is teaching courses on gender and education and social studies methods.
Dr. Bondy is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, where she majored in anthropology. She holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Florida Atlantic University and a doctorate in curriculum theory and cultural studies from Miami University in Ohio.
