Law Professor Tapped to Conduct Major Study on Individual Bankruptcy

Margaret Howard, the Law Alumni Association Professor of Law at Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia, has been selected to lead a major empirical study for the American Bankruptcy Institute. The project will conduct research on individuals who file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Professor Howard is a graduate of Duke University and the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. She also holds a master’s degree in law from Yale Law School. Before, joining the faculty at Washington and Lee, Professor Howard was a member of the faculty at the Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville for 20 years.
