In Memoriam: Maureen Ann Nalle, 1952-2013

Maureen Nalle, an assistant professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee, died earlier this month at her home after battling cancer. She was 61 years old.
Dr. Nalle was a graduate of Niagara University in New York. She held a master’s degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and a doctorate in health education from the University of Tennessee. Her research included a statewide assessment of the continuing education needs of nurses in Tennessee. She was also focused on child day care and health education. Dr. Nalle also served in the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of major.
