Cornell Signs Partnership Agreement With Ewha Womans University

Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, has entered into an agreement with Ewha Womans University in South Korea. The new agreement will expand scholarly and cultural exchanges between the universities. The agreement calls for faculty exchanges, research collaboration projects, and a Korean studies speaker series.
Sun-Uk Kim, president of Ewha Womans University came to the Cornell campus to sign the agreement and to give the Clarke Lecture at the Cornell Law School. Annelise Riles, director of the Clarke Program in East Asian Law and Culture at Cornell, stated, “President Kim’s remarkable contributions to gender equality both as a minister of legislation and as president of Ewha Womans University are a model and an inspiration.”
