Laura Crawley to Lead the University of Georgia Gwinnett Campus

Laura Crawley was named director of the University of Georgia Gwinnett Campus in Lawrenceville. She will begin her new duties on November 1. The University of Georgia Gwinnett Campus is a center of advanced learning for nontraditional and working professionals in greater Atlanta and northeast Georgia. The campus offers a variety of graduate academic programs in 19 different disciplines, noncredit continuing education opportunities, business-oriented training programs, and K-12 technology training initiatives.
Since 2009 Dr. Crawley has been director of the executive MBA program for the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in Atlanta. At the University of Georgia, Dr. Crawley will also hold the title of assistant vice president for academic affairs.
Dr. Crawley is the former assistant to the vice president for student affairs at Georgia Perimeter College in Decatur. She is the co-founder of The Journal of the Historical Society, which is housed at Boston University. Dr. Crawley is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and holds master’s and doctoral degrees from Emory University in Atlanta.
