Twin sisters Lexie and Lindsay Kite launched the website Beauty Redefined in 2009. The goal of the website was to replace society’s idea of beauty with a more balanced approach to physical and mental wellness. The 27-year-old sisters have developed 13,000 followers on Facebook and are booked to lecture across the country.
“From the moment we set out to share these positive messages, we have been overwhelmed with the excitement and support of people who say they are starving for this kind of uplifting and truthful information,” says Lexie Kite. “We know women are capable of much more than being looked at, and once they believe that message, they can move on to accomplishing so many happy and worthwhile pursuits.”
The twins are graduates of Utah State University and co-wrote a master’s thesis at the University of Utah. This spring they completed doctorates in communication at the University of Utah and will now devote their time to furthering the mission of Beauty Redefined.
