Four Women Promoted to Full Professor at the Wayne State University School of Medicine

The Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit has announced the promotions of six faculty members to the rank of full professor. Four of the six new full professors are women.
Judith Arnetz was promoted to full professor of family medicine and public health sciences. She is a graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and holds a master of public health degree and a Ph.D. from Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.
Deborah Ellis was named professor of pediatrics. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Michigan State University.
Robin Hanks was appointed full professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation. She holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in psychology from Wayne State University.
Dawn Misra was promoted to full professor of family medicine and public health sciences. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. She earned a second master’s degree and a Ph.D. in epidemiology from Columbia University in New York City.
