In Memoriam: Lu Lingzi, 1989-2013

v_LuLingzi3Lu Lingzi, a graduate student at Boston University from China, was a victim of the bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday April 15. She was 23 years old.

Lu was graduate of the Beijing Institute of Technology and came to Boston University to pursue a master’s degree in statistics.

In a statement given to the university, her family wrote, “We are grieving and at a loss for words to describe the pain and sadness we are experiencing following the sudden passing of our dear daughter, Lingzi. She was the joy of our lives.”
