Libby Morris to Serve as Provost at the University of Georgia

morrislibbyJere Morehead, provost at the University of Georgia who was recently picked to be the university’s next president, has announced that Libby V. Morris will serve as interim provost. Dr. Morris currently serves as vice provost for academic affairs, director of the university’s Institute of Higher Education, and as an adjunct professor in the College of Public Health. Her new appointment is effective on July 1, but she will begin to assume new duties on March 1.

Dr. Morris has been on the University of Georgia faculty since 1989. Dr. Morris is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
