June Youatt Named Acting Provost at Michigan State University

June Youatt was named acting provost at Michigan State University in East Lansing. Kim A. Wilcox will step down as provost on July 1 but will spend the next six months working with the Partnership to Cut Hunger and Poverty in Africa, a nonprofit organization with close ties to the university. Dr. Youatt has been serving as senior associate provost.
Dr. Youatt also serves as a professor in the department of human development and family studies at Michigan State. She served for nearly a decade at the Michigan Department of Education and for four years as a parenting education specialist with Michigan State University Extension. She holds a doctorate from Michigan State.
