Dartmouth Scholar Wins Book Award from the College Art Association

Mary Coffey, an associate professor of art history at Dartmouth College, has been selected to receive the 2013 Charles Rufus Morey Award from the College Art Association. The award will be presented at the 101st annual meeting of the College Art Association in New York in February.
Coffey is being honored for her first book, How a Revolutionary Art Became Official Culture: Murals, Museums, and the Mexican State (Duke University Press, 2012). The book was a 10-year project for Professor Coffey.
Dr. Coffey holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois.
