University of Alaska Professor Named Editor-in-Chief of New Journal

Nicole Mölders, professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, was named editor-in-chief of the new, open-access journal Climate. The independent international journal will deal with all aspects of the global climate and includes articles from scholars in a wide range of academic disciplines. The journal’s headquarters is in Basel, Switzerland.
Dr. Mölders holds a bachelor’s degree in meteorology and a doctorate in geophysics from the University of Cologne in Germany. She has been on the faculty at the University of Alaska since 2001. Dr. Mölders is the author of Land-Use and Land-Cover Changes: Impact on Climate and Air Quality (Springer, 2011).
