Baylor Univerity’s Helen Benedict Wins Lifetime Achievement Award from Texas Psychological Association

Helen E. Benedict has been selected to receive the Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award from the Texas Psychological Association. Dr. Benedict will receive the award on November 2 at the association’s annual awards ceremony.
Dr. Benedict is a professor and director of clinical training in the department of psychology and neuroscience at Baylor University. Jim Diaz-Granados, chair of the department, stated, “Helen’s contributions to the field of child psychology are significant. She is a highly sought-after expert in play therapy and issues of attachment. Her career is indelibly marked by her dedication to the profession, her students, the community, and her colleagues.”
Professor Benedict joined the faculty at Baylor in 1981. She is a graduate of Connecticut College in New London and holds a Ph.D. in developmental and clinical child psychology at Yale University.
