A Trio of Women Appointed to Teaching Positions

Bridgett vonHoldt was appointed an assistant professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at Princeton University in New Jersey. Her appointment is effective in July 2013. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California Los Angeles.
Dr. vonHoldt is a graduate of Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, and holds a master’s degree from New York University and a Ph.D. from UCLA.
Aisling Kelliher was named associate professor in the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She was an assistant professor in media communication systems and media theory at Arizona State University.
A native of Dublin, Dr. Kelliher is a graduate of Dublin City University. She holds a master’s degree from Trinity College in Dublin and a second master’s degree and a Ph.D. in media, arts, and sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Fiona Somerset is a new associate professor of English at the University of Connecticut. She previously was on the faculty at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Somerset is native of Canada. She studied violin at the Cleveland Institute of Music before transferring and earning a bachelor’s degree in English at the University of Chicago. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. from Cornell University.
