Duke Expands Child Care Facilities for Its Faculty and Staff

In 2003 Duke University expanded its on-campus child care center to accommodate 152 children of faculty, staff, and graduate students. This was double the capacity that had existed before.
Now the university has once again doubled its capacity for child care, adding a second center on campus that has room for 159 children. On the first day, the new center received applications from 120 children, so the need for expanding child care options for Duke faculty and staff was sorely needed.
The new facility is called The Little School at Duke. It has 11 classrooms, 10 bathrooms, a kitchen, and play spaces. The new facility will open on September 4.
