Mount Holyoke College Strengthens Ties to China

Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, has announced agreements to form new partnerships with universities and school systems in China. Mount Holyoke President Lynn Pasquerella recently completed a trip to China and South Korea promoting women’s higher education.
An agreement was signed to establish closer educational ties between Shanghai University and Mount Holyoke College. Also President Pasquerella signed a memoranda of agreement with four of China’s leading high schools. Under the agreement students from these high schools will be advised on navigating the admissions process at highly selective colleges and universities in the United States. Under the agreement, college-bound women from these high schools will attend the Women’s Academy for International Leadership Development on the Mount Holyoke campus.
