Notre Dame Professor Wins Book Award

Margot E. Fassler, Keough-Hesburgh Professor of Music History and Liturgy at the University of Notre Dame, received the 2012 Otto Grunder Book Prize for her work, The Virgin of Chartre: Making History Through Liturgy and Arts (Yale University Press). She accepted the prize at the International Congress on Medieval Studies at Western Michigan University earlier this month. The book focuses on the history of the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Chartres, France.
