Two New Associate Deans at the University of Georgia

Two women have been named to associate dean positions at the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Georgia.
Silvia Giraudo was appointed associate dean for academic programs. She will take office on June 15. Currently, she is an associate professor of foods and nutrition at the University of Georgia. She joined the UGA faculty in 2002.
A native of Argentina, Dr. Giraudo is a graduate of the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba-Argentina. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in animal nutrition from the University of Georgia.
Deborah Murray was named associate dean for cooperative extension and outreach. Her appointment is effective on May 7. She currently serves as associate director of the Health Education Through Extension Leadership program at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Murray is a graduate of Morehead State University in Kentucky. She holds a master’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond and an educational doctorate from the University of Kentucky.
